Report: Urban Poverty in Asia

According to UN-HABITAT, Asia is home to 60% of the world’s urban poor. They live in officially designated slums, or in officially unrecognized slum-like conditions. “Urban Poverty in Asia” is a report that examines the various dimensions of urban poverty in Asia. As the scale of urbanization escalates, the report concludes, policy initiatives are required to ensure access to services, livelihood, shelter, and social security for potentially increasing numbers of urban poor.
